The directory is built from official provider pages. A recurring job rechecks each claim and keeps a dated history outside the website repository.
What qualifies
We include recurring free tiers, free models, and small renewable credits that can run AI inference or an AI coding tool. We label the real unit: tokens, requests, completions, compute units, or dollars.
What does not qualify
We exclude referral bonuses, giveaways, expired announcements, unverifiable community claims, and offers that only say “free trial” without a public allowance. A paid plan with a bundled quota is not a free offer.
How the weekly check works
- Fetch every official evidence URL with a bounded timeout.
- Normalize visible text and test the exact phrases that support the published claim.
- Store the HTTP status, content fingerprint, check time, and pass or review status in SQLite.
- Publish only a validated JSON snapshot. The runtime database is never exposed to the public site.
What automation cannot prove
A passing source check does not prove that every account or country receives access. We do not create accounts, enter payment details, accept terms, or consume provider credits during verification.
Freshness policy
Checks run weekly. The site displays a warning when the last full run is more than eight days old. A changed or missing phrase is shown as needing review instead of silently carrying the old claim forward.
